But there is no manual option on the updated configurator. Hopefully it will come once a bit more is revealed.
Regardless, my build right now is an XE premium with the 2.0T engine, mainly because the diesel is 180hp instead of 240hp and costs more at the same time. Only options are the wheels, a few hundred under $40k. Not too shabby for a 328i competitor. As much as I’d love to spring for the 340 horses, that’s not really something I need in a DD.

What is this halogen bullshit?

At the Paris show, Jag said it wouldn’t be availabe until after launch. So it probably won’t show up on the configurator until at least spring time.
But thet fact that Jag has remained committed to keeping the stick an option is pretty great.

Likely with manual as a Europe-only option.
My co-worker who had the XFR-S was only able to get it as an auto.

There’s a package on the XE 2.0 premium that adds bi-xenon’s, but it also adds headlamp powerwashers, auto high beam assist, blind spot monitors, reverse traffic detection, and front/rear parking aids for $2300. I would really only want the bi-xenon’s and can’t do al a carte.

I just hope Jag goes for the higher trim level offerings as well as base trims and doesn’t go the way of many other companies who only offer manual on base trims.

$35k Jag with a RWD and a turbo. Gotta slice those pennies somewhere.
Not like anything on the lot will be a ‘base’ anyway.

The configurators aren’t updated everyday. Give it a few weeks.

Eh, I wouldn’t bet on that. I would expect you will be able to get the manual on the 25t with a lot of options, but not the higher trims.
Maybe
on the R-Sport, if there’s a good take on the 25t.

Yeah, isn’t the manual only going to be offered on one of the highest trim levels on the new Alfa?

Looking at W204 C-Class 300s and 250s I’d say a lot of those new XEs are going to be base models.

I popped over to Jag’s site. It looks like their vision package is called ‘P2’. It holds all the ‘safety’ stuff like parking sensors and lane departure, and it includes the Xenons. So the halogens will hopefully be lease specials only.

Doesn’t mean you can get one though!

I’m assuming you’re in Europe?

Yes, hence the diesel as the first option!

Surprisingly, diesel is the first option in the U.S. too, the first two being the 2.0D with either RWD (1) or AWD (2)
